NOTICE OF SUSPENSION
OF MR. PAUL-ANDRÉ MARTEL’S

NOTICE is hereby given that Paul-André Martel, former real estate broker (Licence No. C2460), whose establishment was located in Montréal, has notably been found guilty by the Discipline Committee of the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) of the offences summarized below:
5th count: On or around September 14, 2010, concerning an immovable, failing to respond to requests for visits from another real estate broker, thus committing an offence against:
a) the seller;
b) the prospective buyers;
c) the said real estate broker;
Violating, with regards to each individual in counts Nos. 5 a) and 5 b), section 15, and with regards to the individual in count No. 5 c), section 90 of the Regulation respecting brokerage requirements, professional conduct of brokers and advertising.
7th count: On or around October 16, 2010, concerning an immovable, failing to respond to a request for a visit from another real estate broker, thus committing an offence against:
a) the seller;
b) the prospective buyers;
c) the said real estate broker;
Violating, with regards to each individual in counts Nos. 7 a) and 7 b), section 15, and with regards to the individual in count No. 7 c), section 90 of the Regulation respecting brokerage requirements, professional conduct of brokers and advertising.
8th count: On or around March 20, 2013, in Brossard, during an investigation conducted by an assistant syndic, making a false declaration by stating that he had not received remuneration for the sale of an immovable, the whole contrary to section 106 of the Regulation respecting brokerage requirements, professional conduct of brokers and advertising.
On April 9, 2014, the Discipline Committee ordered a suspension of Paul-André Martel’s real estate broker’s licence (Licence No. C2460) for concurrent periods of thirty (30) days each as to counts Nos. 5 a), 5 b), 5 c), for concurrent periods of thirty (30) days each as to counts Nos. 7 a), 7 b), 7 c), and for a period of thirty (30) days as to count No. 8 of the formal complaint, to be served consecutively with each other.
Given that Paul-André Martel is no longer a licence holder, his licence will be suspended for a period of ninety (90) days whenever he becomes a licence holder again.
This notice is given in accordance with section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., C-73.2, r.3).
