NOTICE OF SUSPENSION OF
MR. LUC BERTRAND’S LICENCE

NOTICE is hereby given that Luc Bertrand, former real estate broker (Licence No. D0637), whose establishment was located in Laval, has been found guilty by the Discipline Committee of the OACIQ of the offences summarized below:
1st count: In Longueuil, on or around March 21, 2012, in the case No. 505-01-089061-101, Criminal Division, was found guilty of the following offence related to the practice of the profession:
“Between January 1, 2006 and September 9, 2009, by deceit, falsehood or other fraudulent means, defrauded a non-profit corporation, of an amount of money exceeding five thousand dollars ($5,000), thus committing an indictable offence under section 380(1) a) of the Criminal Code”, the whole contrary to section 88 of the Real Estate Brokerage Act C-73.2.
2nd count: On or around October 4, 2013, failed to report in the “Form to be completed in case of conviction” that he had also been convicted of a criminal offence, thus committing an offence under section 10 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences.
On December 19, 2014, the Discipline Committee ordered the permanent suspension of Luc Bertrand’s real estate broker’s licence (Licence No. D0637) on counts No. 1 and 2 of the formal complaint.
Given that Luc Bertrand is no longer a licence holder, his licence will be suspended permanently whenever he becomes a licence holder again.
This notice is given in accordance with section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., c. C-73.2, r.3).
