LICENCE SUSPENSION NOTICE

NOTICE is hereby given that Christine Brodeur, former real estate broker, licence No. E0538, whose establishment was located in Saint-Eustache, has been found guilty by the OACIQ Discipline Committee of the offences summarized below:
Counts 1a) and 1b): On two occasions, between January 2009 and May 2009, the defendant took steps to obtain a mortgage financing for two borrowers to purchase immovables, while he had no authorization from them to this effect.
Count 2: As part of the mortgage financing of the borrower, concerning an immovable:
a) on or around January 5, 2009, encouraged or suggested the forgery and use of false documents and inaccurate information;
b) during February 2009, sent or allowed someone to send false documents and inaccurate information to a financial institution;
Count 3: On or around January 20, 2009, concerning an immovable, ensured or allowed an individual other than the borrower to sign the document entitled “Client’s Consent.”
Count 4: On or around January 27, 2009, in the process of steps taken by the borrower to obtain a financing secured by immovable hypothec for the acquisition of an immovable, sent or allowed someone to send to a financial institution false documents and inaccurate information in support of the borrower’s financing application, while she had not obtained the documents or information from the borrower and/or had failed or neglected to confirm their validity by the latter.
On May 11, 2016, the Discipline Committee ordered the suspension of Christine Brodeur's licence No. E0538 for a period of 6 months, to be served consecutively to the one ordered in file 33-14-1756, whenever she becomes a licence holder again.
This notice is given in accordance with section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., c. C-73.2, r.3).
